Dakota Johnson is known to give her own twists to some of the most classic pieces, and she did just that at the Red Sea International Film Festival with her custom Valentino gown, which comes with a high slit and lots of cutouts. The black strapless number boasted a form-fitting corset bodice and a fabulous long skirt with a bold slit in the front.
The daring elements of the piece, like the deep V-shaped neckline and cutouts on both sides of the waist and hips, added a rather Gen-Z-coded vibe. The classic dark shade of the gown looked amazing on Johnson, whilst perfectly accentuating her features.
The layered and ruched design at her waist looked phenomenal as well. However, the ruched twist behind didn’t really add much value. It ended up looking slouchy and saggy instead of adding volume.
Even Johnson’s accessory game was on point. She completed the look with matching black Paris Texas stilettos. The actress also added an elaborate collar necklace with delicate diamond droplets, along with matching long earrings to add some shimmer and shine. Even her diamond cocktail ring was just the right choice. It’s quite clear that she went with a maximalist touch for this one.
Last but definitely not least, Johnson’s makeup choices were the perfect finishing touch. She went with a rather blushed look with a touch of highlighter on the lightly contoured cheeks. Her dramatic eyes with mascara-laden lashes and the matte nude-colored lip shade complemented her overall look.
Her well-manicured nails also added to the look. In fact, she went with a simple and straight hairdo with fringes for this one, and that in itself was remarkable. No wonder fans couldn’t take their eyes off the “Materialists” star.
