Simon Cowell’s fiancée has taken a big step forward in their relationship. Lauren and talent judge have one biological child, a son named Eric, born in 2014.
The entrepreneur recently launched an Instagram page and made another big change, which apparently Eric pushed her to do. She and Simon have been dating for over a decade. While they aren’t married just yet, Lauren’s recent announcement might make some believe they are.

You can say goodbye to the name Lauren Silverman. In an interview with The Daily Mail, the soon-to-be wife of Simon officially announced her new name. “Look, I am Mrs. Cowell,” Lauren declared. “I have created a life with Simon. We have a child together.”
She says that it was thanks to their child that she chose to change her name. At his insistence, she decided it was the right thing to do. Lauren says that it’s a way to show the trio was united.
It’s something that she admits the America’s Got Talent judge really wanted her to do as well. Lauren says that she kept the last name Silverman for so long for her other son, Adam, whom she had during her marriage to Andrew Silverman. She says she considered going back to her maiden name after the two divorced.
Her soon to be husband has taken heat over the death of Liam Payne, who he previsouly signed to his record label when forming One Direction. In an interview last month, Simon said he doesn’t read publications that suggest he’s to blame in part for that tragedy. He says it’s for his own well-being.
Lauren and Simon are said to be ready to walk down the aisle, but when that moment will come remains a mystery.
