White House & Sabrina Carpenter Feud Reignited With SNL Video

The White House has reignited its dispute with Sabrina Carpenter after releasing an edited clip from the singer’s Saturday Night Live appearance. The clip, posted across the administration’s social platforms, promotes its immigration message. It arrives only days after officials removed an earlier ICE-related video that used Carpenter’s music.

White House uses Sabrina Carpenter SNL video amid feud

The White House escalated its clash with singer Sabrina Carpenter by releasing a new social media video using edited footage of the pop star’s Saturday Night Live appearance.

The latest video, published on both X and TikTok, opens with a promotional clip from Carpenter’s October SNL appearance. In the original taping, she jokes about “arresting someone for being too hot.” In the White House version, her line is altered so that “hot” is replaced with “illegal,” changing the moment into an immigration message.

Her cast member Marcello Hernández then says, “Well, I turn myself in,” and Carpenter replies, “You’re under arrest,” before the video cuts to clips of ICE operations and Border Patrol detentions. The video plays over a remix of Rihanna’s ‘S&M’ and Gucci Mane’s ‘I Get the Bag,’ and the post is captioned, “PSA: If you’re a criminal illegal, you WILL be arrested & deported.”

This latest post follows a now-deleted video that initiated public feud earlier in the month. In the video, Carpenter’s song “Juno” was used over footage of immigration raids. The caption read, “Have you ever tried this one? Bye-bye,” with emojis included. Carpenter criticized the post shortly after it went up, calling the video “evil and disgusting” and saying, “Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”

When asked about her comments, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson issued a sharp response. Jackson said, “We won’t apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our country,” and added, “Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?”

After Carpenter’s criticism went viral, the administration deleted the original video from its X account on December 5. (via PEOPLE).
