Jessica Alba Says Nude Scene From Fantastic Four Was ‘Awful’

Jessica Alba recently made an interesting revelation while delivering a candid career retrospective at the Red Sea Film Festival on Friday, December 5. When asked about her experience and memories of shooting Tim Story’s 2005 Marvel adaptation of “Fantastic Four”, the Sin City actress opened up about a cringeworthy (according to her) career moment. In a bombshell confession, the Golden Globe nominee disclosed that her popular nude scene from the movie was actually the most “humiliating” scene to shoot.

Jessica Alba talks about her nude scene from Fantastic Four

In a statement that gave fans a peek into the vulnerability of superhero glamor, Jessica Alba shared that her least favorite scene to shoot was Sue Storm reappearing buck-naked over a bridge.

“I thought that was awful. It was very humiliating in real life. I grew up with a pretty conservative family, and I am a pretty modest person. I dreaded that scene for weeks”, the actress revealed during the insightful career talk.

Having said that, one bad memory cannot diminish the countless good ones she made while shooting the blockbuster. The interactive session saw Jessica Alba fondly recalling portraying Sue Storm in Fantastic Four. Alba loved how her revolutionary character shattered gender norms in superhero and action films of that time.

“Sue was a woman I looked up to. She was very maternal and very kind, but also not a pushover. She spoke her mind,” Jessica said, praising her ahead of time character. “Sue had a great moral compass. No matter who you are, you can look up to her. Oftentimes, the women in these stories need to be saved by a guy or the villain, the problem in the story. This was back then. It’s different now”, the actress further shared.

Alba was also asked about her thoughts on Vanessa Kirby’s interpretation of Sue Storm in “Fantastic Four: First Steps,”. The Honey actress revealed that she’s yet to watch the film. “I usually watch those movies with my kids, and if ‘Sonic’ was out, my son wants to watch it 85 times in a row. When it comes to movies that are for the family, my kids dominate what we watch for sure. But I have to convince him because we have to see it! I love Marvel, and they’re so fun”, the 44-year-old star explained.
