Oscar Isaac has this to say about Teyana Taylor on Actors on Actors 2025

During the conversation, Isaac didn’t hold back in sharing just how impressed he was by Taylor, both as an artist and as a person. He told her she was the coolest person he had ever come across and praised the energy and passion she poured into her work. “I think you’re the coolest person I’ve ever met in my life. “You are so astounding. All the energy to get to do this, too.”

Taylor opened up about juggling her many creative projects, sharing that finding balance has been key to everything. She explained that she made a vow to never feel limited creatively.  “I think it’s all about balance. It’s all about balance. And again, I think making that promise to myself, I’m never going to get claustrophobic and stuck in a box. It’s almost, maybe even trauma. I told you I would be able to do it all, and now I have to live up to that.”

The conversation moved beyond compliments and into reflections on artistic purpose. Isaac pointed out that everything Taylor does comes from the same creative core. “This is what I was saying about the source,” he explained. “There’s a source with you that all these things are elements of that thing, but it’s keeping that thing, being true to that is what’s really inspiring.”

Taylor also talked about Isaac’s latest role as Victor Frankenstein in Guillermo del Toro’s film, admitting she doesn’t always agree with how he approaches things but admires his ability to just “get it the f**k done.” She also drew a personal parallel, recalling her own perfectionist streak during culinary school. While streaming the movie, Taylor said she saw a bit of Frankenstein in herself in the kitchen, determined to make everything perfect.
