Timothée Chalamet is going all out to promote his new Christmas movie, Marty Supreme. The 29-year-old actor climbed atop the Las Vegas Sphere to promote his upcoming Christmas release. Notably, it is a sports-comedy film co-written, produced, and directed by Josh Safdie. American table tennis player Marty Reisman serves as an inspiration for the film.
Timothée Chalamet becomes the first to climb this Las Vegas wonder
Timothée Chalamet shared a video on Instagram with the caption, “MARTY SUPREME OUT IN 3 DAYS TICKET LINK IN BIO.” In the video, he looks straight into the camera and declares loudly, “Marty Supreme is an American film that comes out on Christmas Day, 2025,” as soft instrumental music fills the background.
Chalamet yells “Yeah” and “Woohoo” a couple of times as the camera pans over a sunset orange-red glowing, dome-like structure. The spherical structure resembles a classic ping-pong ball. The text on the dome-like structure reads, “Marty Supreme. Dream Big,” accompanied by three stars. Towards the end, the Oscar-nominated actor screams, “Dream Big.” Unsurprisingly, the video has garnered over a million likes, 6,831 comments, 18,000 retweets, and 109,000 shares as of the time of writing this article.
Chalamet, the film’s distributor A24 Films, and Sphere Studios conceptualised and executed the unique promotional strategy. It is a collaboration with Cash App, which joined forces with A24, Sphere Studios, and Chalamet to bring this promotional strategy to fruition.
Additionally, they created a Marty Supreme Cash App card featuring five exclusive stamps for the movie. The film’s team designed five custom stamps based on the film’s theme, which featured elements such as ping-pong paddles, balls, and a blimp (via Entertainment Weekly).
Interestingly, this is the first time anyone has ever stood on top of the Las Vegas Sphere since it opened in 2023 (via New York Post). The Oscar-nominated actor has participated in unique promotional strategies for Marty Supreme. Previously, Chalamet guested on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. However, a group of silent men, dressed in black bodysuits and wearing orange ping-pong ball masks over their heads, accompanied him.
Even Fallon praised Chalamet’s efforts in promoting the film. He remarked, “I think [this is] one of the best marketing campaigns of any film I’ve ever seen. You’ve done a fantastic job with this movie.”
