More tragedy has struck Dr. Jill Biden. The former First Lady’s first husband, Bill Stevenson, may be in some hot water after his wife, Linda, was found dead in the living room of their home on Sunday night.
Reports suggest it all stemmed from a domestic dispute between the two over the weekend. Medics and police found her unresponsive in the late evening. The current wife of former President Joe Biden was married to Bill in the early to mid-70s. Jill and Joe married two years after the former had a civil divorce from Bill.
Bill Stevenson was Jill Biden’s first husband

It has been a rough 2025 for Jill, and this latest news is hardly an ideal way for her to end the year. In May, Joe’s office said that the former President had prostate cancer and was beginning treatment later that month.
TMZ has learned that Jill’s first husband, Bill, was the subject of a supposed domestic situation on Sunday. New Castle County police responded to the dispute, administering life-saving measures to Linda upon arrival to no avail.
The Delaware Division of Forensic Science will conduct an autopsy on her body to determine the cause of death. There are no charges as of yet.
Things between Jill and Bill reportedly got tense during their marriage when the former purchased a college bar near the University of Delaware campus. Jill apparently wanted to own half of The Stone Balloon, but it never happened.
Joe served as a Senator from Delaware for many years before becoming Vice President for two terms under the Barack Obama administration. He was President for four years, resigning in the middle of the 2024 election. In 2021 Joe attended the wedding of Meghan King to his nephew Cuffe Owens.
Jill’s stepson, Beau, died of brain cancer in 2015, while Joe’s infant daughter Naomi was killed in a car crash along with his first wife, Neila, in 1972. Linda was 64.
