Below Deck Mediterranean Chef Josh Bingham is quickly going down as one of the greats. Not only does he consistently whip up delicious food, but he also has an amazing attitude with his teammates. Still, that doesn’t prevent him from having to deal with finicky charter guests. And in the preview for Season 10, Episode 15, Josh’s patience is about to be tested again with a charter guest who criticizes his carving skills.
Chef Josh prepares a complicated dish on board
It’s clear Josh knows what he’s doing as a chef. He pays attention to the guests’ preferences and pulls out his A-game. On top of that, Josh doesn’t hide in the galley.
He shared during the season premiere episode, “You never know when guests are gonna ask you to dress up or do a silly dance or whatever. A lot of chefs want to hide in the galley, but I enjoy that. I enjoy the creativity.”
However, those interactions with the guests also bite you in the butt. In the preview for Season 10, Episode 15, Josh is tasked with carving up some Jamón, which is cured ham, for the guests. He’s unsure what to do, so, like the rest of us, he went straight to YouTube to find out.
Josh was in a rush and quickly carried the hind leg up to be sliced. Unfortunately, when he started carving, it immediately tipped over. Josh mumbled, “I have no idea what I’m doing.”
And the guests took notice. One noted, “It’s not that good.” While another was more bold and told Josh, “I just know that it’s usually from the side. Like, carve it from the side.”
We’ll have to wait until next week to see if they are happy with the flavor, but things are looking tense. But hopefully not as tense as when he dealt with a cranky vegan charter guest.
Below Deck Mediterranean airs Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo. It can be streamed on Peacock the next day.
