Cardi B shared an alleged text from a woman who claims the singer’s boyfriend, Stefon Diggs, assaulted her. The alleged victim, a woman who worked as Stefon’s personal chef, accused the football star of strangling her and throwing her on a bed. A financial dispute allegedly caused the argument.
News of the alleged dispute broke on Tuesday, December 30. Stefon is facing charges of felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery. The incident is claimed to have occurred on December 2.
Cardi B recently broke her silence on the allegations
The alleged chef’s message Cardi shared on X said, “I’m sooo sorry, I can’t talk to you, I didn’t say that especially in the way it was written, please contact my mediator and she will answer anything you need to know. But only in person and confidently,” according to TMZ. It has since been deleted.
The singer’s response shared alongside the text on X said, “Not once has that woman said anything to me about being touched.. NOT ONCE!! Mind you, we was talking every single day until she left that house and she JUST wrote me this.. but I’m gonna let the courts handle s*** and when it gets handled I want all yall talkin s*** on your f***in knees with apologies just as loud the way yall been harassing over a lie… and I put that on my two month old son in the name of the lord!! That’s how confident I am.” It has also been deleted.
Cardi B allegedly sent a voicemail and text messages to the chef after she contacted police about the incident. According to the report, “The messages stated something to the effect of ‘you don’t need to do all this. It’s not that big of a deal.’”
According to Us Weekly, Stefon’s attorney, David Meier, said his client “categorically denies” the allegations.
Cardi and Stefon’s relationship began in late 2024, and they welcomed a son this past November.
On January 11, Stefon will join his team, the New England Patriots, to play the Los Angeles Chargers in the NFL Wild Card Round.
