If you were looking forward to the premiere of Love Island: All Stars Season 3, we’ve got bad news. You’re going to have to wait a little bit longer. The Islanders were set to kick off a six-week run of hookups and heartbreaks this week, but production has been postponed indefinitely. You can blame this one on Mother Nature.
Wildfires caused production to stall on Love Island: All Stars
Love Island: All Stars Season 3 was set to commence filming in South Africa this past weekend. The UK premiere was scheduled for January 12 on ITV. US audiences were preparing for a January 14 premiere on Peacock.
However, everything fell apart over the weekend when wildfires ripped through South Africa. In a statement shared on the show’s Instagram, the producers explained that the fires forced them to evacuate the villa.
The statement explained, “Health and safety is our greatest priority and will always come first, and therefore the transmission of Love Island: All Stars will be delayed until a date to be confirmed.”
ITV hasn’t shared any further information about when the show plans to commence production. We can only imagine that the producers are somewhere scrambling to get this figured out. They need a villa, and we need some answers about when we’re going to get our show.
Although we won’t have the Season 3 All Stars premiere right now, fans in the UK will be treated to a Love Island special commemorating 10 years of the hit show. Meanwhile, fans outside of the UK will have to find something else to watch while we wait for more details.
Love Island: All Stars is streaming on ITV2, ITVX, and Peacock.
