Miley Cyrus has continued her streak of head-turning looks on January 11, as she donned a high-slit Gucci dress for the Golden Globes after-party. The high slit on the “Flowers” hitmaker’s black gown elevated the simple outfit with a touch of the boldness that has become her signature over the years.
Miley Cyrus’ plain Gucci dress is saved by bold slit that couldn’t go any higher
Designed by Demna for Gucci, Miley Cyrus’ sleek one-shoulder evening gown had a minimalist but sultry silhouette. It draped diagonally across the bodice, leaving one shoulder and collarbone exposed. The dramatic thigh-high slit on one side of the floor-length skirt added movement and a bold, leg-baring edge. Further, the strapless side of the dress featured a discreet zip closure.
Styled by Bradley Kenneth, Cyrus accessorised with Stilla Medium Hoop Pear Diamond Earrings in 18k White Gold from Tacori. She slipped into black heels and carried a black YSL bag with a silver chain. The silver bracelet she was wearing on one wrist matched the chain of her bag. She wore her hair in a bun, and her makeup featured a soft, smoky eye and a nude-beige lip.
Earlier that evening, the 33-year-old walked the 83rd Annual Golden Globes red carpet in a custom black Saint Laurent dress. The shimmering column dress had long sleeves and a scalloped neckline. It also featured tiered ruffles at the chest. She accessorised with Tiffany and Co. jewelry, including a pendant necklace and a Bird on a Rock Wings wide ring, among other pieces.
The singer-songwriter also added an edge to the look with Saint Laurent SL-854 Cat Eye Sunglasses. She slipped into the luxury brand’s Debbie platform sandals in satin crepe. Her hair was styled in loose waves for the event. She presented an award and was also nominated for Best Original Song for “Dream as One” from “Avatar: Fire and Ash.”
