A line appears to have been crossed by Donald Trump. He never minces words about his political rivals and those who speak out against him, but his latest mockery has created public outrage.
At a recent speaking engagement, Trump did his own impersonation of former President Joe Biden, who beat him in the 2020 Presidential election. In the viral video, Trump was making fun of Joe’s cough, even cracking himself up with laughter after a few seconds. It’s being called an “unnecessary and cruel taunt” by one user on X.
President Biden is currently battling cancer
Inappropriate may not even begin to describe what many feel about Trump’s latest stunt. While Donald has never held back how he feels in public, many believe mocking Joe is a brand new low.
The former President is battling an aggressive form of prostate cancer, with Joe confirming the news last May. In September, a spokesperson for the former-Vice President said that he had Mohs surgery to remove skin cancer lesions from his forehead. In October, he underwent radiation and hormone therapies to deal with his prostate cancer. It’s still not certain if he’ll require more surgery.
Even though he regained the Presidency by beating former Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024, Donald has rarely had a kind word for Joe. While showing a reporter the early stages of the White House ballroom in November, the President showed off the Presidential Walk of Fame.
It had a picture of every US President on the wall, except Joe Biden, who had an autopen picture. Donald said he didn’t think he’d add a picture of him calling Joe the worst President in American history. He did say buildings like the Presidential ballroom are his greatest strengths.
Joe’s son, Beau, died of brain cancer in 2015. At 83, Joe is the oldest living former US President.
