Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams are pretty much household names following the release of Heated Rivalry.
The hit series, which follows the enemies-to-lovers romance between two hockey captains, catapulted the pair to overnight fame. Since then, Connor and Hudson have walked the red carpet at major award ceremonies and appeared on primetime chat shows.
But Connor, who worked as a waiter before landing the role of Ilya Rozanov, just revealed he didn’t think any of this was possible.
Connor Storrie was “planning on getting a new job” before being cast in Heated Rivalry

On Late Night with Seth Meyers this week, Connor explained he was working as a waiter before Heated Rivalry. The 25-year-old then admitted that while he was grateful for the opportunity, he didn’t get his hopes up. “If Heated Rivalry didn’t go this well, I was already planning on getting a new job in a few months,” he said.
Next, Connor commented on how much his life has changed since the show came out. “To be able to act and get paid to do what I want to do … it’s insane for me,” he said.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, fans absolutely ate the interview up on social media. “Couldn’t have chosen a better late-night talk show to put him on,” someone said on Instagram. “Everything about this interview was perfect,” another person commented. “Thank you, PR gods, for getting Connor on Seth,” agreed a third.
With the success of Heated Rivalry now firmly under his belt, and a second season already confirmed, Connor’s service days are certainly behind him. But that won’t stop us from imagining Connor serving our basket of breadsticks on our next trip to Olive Garden.
