JD Vance may have to find some more trustworthy security to protect him. A member of the Secret Service was anything but tight-lipped about his career while on a date.
The agent reportedly got caught “leaking sensitive details,” according to an insider. Ironically, his date was an undercover journalist herself for influencer James O’Keefe. The leaker had been assigned to protect the Vice President. After his recent actions, it’s difficult to imagine JD or the organization will offer him a second chance.
The Secret Service agent has been placed on leave
Even those in the most secretive jobs apparently can’t resist boasting about it in public. That appears to be the case with the man who revealed his job on camera. The video of the agent sharing his occupation was posted on James O’Keefe’s X account.
Although the Secret Service hasn’t officially revealed this person’s identity, James alleges it’s Tomas Escotto. Thomas is said to be a holdover from the Joe Biden administration. James says that Thomas voted for Joe in the 2020 election and apparently opposed ICE and the Trump administration. ICE has been under scrutiny since the shooting death of a mother of three in Minnesota this month. The woman was deemed to be a domestic terrorist. The Secret Service agent meanwhile has been placed on leave.
The agent did more than just share his job, according to reports. He also talked about how the Vice President is physically surrounded, reportedly discussing advanced security procedures among other things. On his social media handle, James alleges that the agent also shared JD’s future travel plans days in advance along with images from Air Force Two while on board with the Vice President.
If the reports are true, it must be a major concern for the Vice President in light of what happened to his home earlier this year. An intruder allegedly damaged the Vance home in Ohio.
The agent also reportedly admitted to signing paperwork prohibiting the disclosure of sensitive information. James adds that they reached out to the Secret Service before publishing the report. He claims they worked with them to redact sensitive operational details.
