Blake Lively is adding some star power to her legal team. Sigrid McCawley will serve as another representative for the actress in her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni. The director of It Ends with Us starring Blake, is being sued for alleged sexual harassment during their time together on set.
Sigrid gained notoriety for representing other sexual abuse victims. She will join a legal team consisting of Mike Gottlieb and Esra Hudson. Justin had filed a countersuit against her, which a judge ultimately dismissed. Blake’s original complaint will be dealt with in court later this year.

The newest member of Blake’s legal team brings experience with sensitive matters like this one. Sigrid has previously worked with victims of Jeffrey Epstein. The financier and convicted sex offender died in prison in 2019.
Speaking exclusively to People, Sigrid says her upcoming case at its core is about a woman “subjected to a hostile work environment and is being attacked for standing up to protect herself and other female co-workers.” According to Mike and Esra, Sigrid was recruited for her years of speaking truth to power. The late alleged victim of Jeffrey Epstein, Virginia Giuffre, is among her most well-known clients. Virginia was allegedly given to former Prince Andrew in Jeffrey’s sex trafficking ring years ago.
Sigrid’s arrival comes at a critical juncture in this matter. The court is preparing to unseal additional depositions and text messages central to the case. There’s an upcoming hearing set for January 22, when a judge will hear arguments on Justin’s motion to have some of Blake’s allegations dismissed.
Blake accused Justin and Wayfarer Studios of sexual harassment in December 2024. In retaliation, Justin filed a suit accusing her and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, of defamation and extortion. Blake and Justin’s time on the set of the movie reportedly made Ryan uncomfortable. In September, Justin hired lawyer Alexandra Shapiro, who previously represented Diddy. The sexual harassment case filed by Blake is set to go to trial in May.
