Source claims Brooklyn Beckham was urged to move against parents David and Victoria
According to the Daily Mail‘s sources, Brooklyn Beckham was pitted against his parents, David and Victoria, by his wife Nicola Peltz’s camp. Sources told the outlet that the fashion designer has been left “devastated” amid her son’s accusations.
In one of his Instagram stories, Brooklyn accused his parents of pressuring him to sign away the rights to his name. However, insiders close to the family claimed that there was no “bribe” or pressure involved. They added that the move was to protect the eldest Beckham child amid one of his father’s commercial deals. David Beckham reportedly signed up with a brand firm, selling 55 per cent of DB Ventures to Authentic Brands Group for £ 200 million. As such, the couple’s commercial partners would have some right over the family’s surname. ‘
An insider stated, “The agreement that Brooklyn was asked to sign was to protect his rights.” This is “because his parents have commercial partners who have some rights over the Beckham name.” As a result, “it ensures that the kids are carved out of that.”
Now, sources also shared that the 26-year-old might have been “turned against” signing the paperwork by people connected to Nicola Peltz. In one of the bombshell stories, Brooklyn also spoke up about the rumors that his wife is controlling. He said, “The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life.”
The former photographer further explained, “I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared.” Brooklyn also expressed, “My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want [is] peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
