Jen Shah is fresh out of prison, so now, she and Meredith Marks are continuing to make strides in their friendship. As seen on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Meredith and Jen had a nuanced relationship. But once Jen’s legal troubles entered the chat, Meredith’s empathetic side took over. As it stands, Meredith remains supportive of Jen, and the two even shared a recent phone conversation following Jen’s release from the big house. Here’s what they discussed, according to Meredith.
Meredith Marks says former RHOSLC co-star Jen Shah has “served her time”
Meredith and Jeff Lewis are both professional gabbers. So, when Meredith recently appeared on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, the pair had a lot to talk about. But naturally, Jeff was the most curious about all things Jen.
After all, Jen is a newly freed woman. So, as Jeff wondered, does Meredith “think [she’ll] have any [type] of relationship with [Jen] now? She does, because as Meredith revealed, “Well, she called me two days ago.” Cue Jeff, asking, “Oh, she did?
“Yes,” Meredith reiterated, adding, “I spoke to her. You know, I’m rooting for her. I hope that she can do her best to right the wrongs that she did, and I mean, she has served her time. That’s step one.”
Furthermore, “[Jen] is paying restitution,” she added. While Meredith remains unclear how much Jen may or may not have left to pay out, Meredith does know that Jen is at least “in the process” of making her victims whole. And “That to me is step two,” Meredith noted.
Moving forward, Meredith hopes that Jen can pay “all these people” back, which would “show that she’s putting a positive foot forward.” As Meredith rhetorically questioned, “Why wouldn’t you want someone to be accountable, do their best to right the wrongs they did, and then move forward? That’s life.”
