Peter Dinklage Recites Poem for Renée Nicole Good

Peter Dinklage is paying tribute to a slain mother. The Game of Thrones actor is one of the many celebrities saddened by the death of Renée Nicole Good. She was falsely deemed a domestic terrorist by Donald Trump’s administration. She was shot and killed by ICE agents in January.

Rather than expressing outrage over the incident, Peter paid tribute to her through a poem written by Amanda Gorman. Like Renée, Amanda is a poet who notably recited one of her works during Joe Biden’s Presidential inauguration. Now, another one of her poems is coming into the spotlight.

While many celebrities tend to stay tight-lipped about political issues, Peter is hoping to change that. The Golden Globe Award winner read out Amada’s poem about her in New York recently beginning with,” They say she is no more, but there her absence roars.” “Change is only possible and all the greater when the labor and bitter anger of our neighbors is moved by the love and better angels of our nature,” Peter went on to say.

Peter read the emotional poem called For Renée Nicole Good in front of The Public Theatre in the Big Apple. He wanted to make sure people knew that although she was gone, her memory was not forgotten. While Peter is not the first celebrity to speak after this tragedy, no one did it in the manner he did. At the Golden Globes last month, many celebrities wore Be Good pins in protest of Renée’s death.

Among the other big names denouncing her death was Billie Eilish, who recently wore an Ice Out pin. Even some of the President’s supporters have voiced their concern over the conduct of agents in the aftermath of Renée’s death. Joe Rogan, who supported Donald’s 2024 election campaign, worried the US was turning into the Gestapo following the tragedy.
