Since Ballerini and Stokes began dating, rumors of a feud between the country singer and Cline were often sparked. This time, the picture came after the couple confirmed that they had rekindled their romance after their September breakup.
Cline and Stokes became a fan-favorite couple when they appeared in the Netflix series, Outer Banks. They dated for less than two years before calling it quits in 2021. In 2023, the director and Ballerini were first linked, and they went public with their relationship in the same year.
