Austen Kroll just caught one of his Southern Charm co-stars in a lie. And, he wasted no time in calling his friend out on it during an episode of Southern Charm After Show, in which he appeared with Rodrigo Reyes.
Austen Kroll had a question for Whitner Slagsvol during the Southern Charm After Show
In case you missed it, Austen and Rodrigo teamed up for this week’s episode of Southern Charm After Show. In it, they unpacked the drama from the Southern Charm cast’s trip to Itchy Grass Farm, which is the family estate of Whitner Slagsvol.
As the pair debriefed on the cast trip, they both discovered the newbie had lied to them. After their stay at Itchy Grass Farm, Whitner had apparently sent them both the same text, claiming that they were each his mom’s favorite visitor.
To that, Austen immediately pulled his phone out and called Whitner while still filming.
“Hey, quick question. We are having a bit of a debate here,” Austen said on the phone call. “How many people did you text and say that we were your mother’s favorite? Cause apparently, it seems a few of us think that you said this to us.”
Thinking quickly, Whitner called on his experience as an attorney. “[I] plead the fifth,” he said in response.
Not one to give up so easily, Austen pushed Whitner for a real answer. “Can I ask her?” Whitner said, before adding: “It’s gonna be Rod.”
“If I had to guess … Rod was probably her mostest favorite,” he continued.
After he hung up, Austen joked, “Well, now I’m pissed.”
But the story doesn’t end there. In his own After Show interview, Whitner had a bit of a confession. “I lied to him,” he revealed. “I told everyone that they were my mom’s favorite.” That said, Whitner doubled down on the fact that Rodrigo was his mom’s winner. Honestly, who can blame her?
