Melania Documentary Part Two Might Happen Soon — Source

According to a source, the producers of the Melania documentary are potentially looking forward to a sequel, despite a drop in its box office collection. They believe the story isn’t a one-time tale and deserves to be explored further. A media executive further revealed that while its theatrical performance is declining, there’s still hope for a sequel if the documentary streams on Amazon Prime Video, which could boost its reach and performance.

Sources suggest Melania documentary part two is on the table

Sources tell Naughty But Nice that the producers of the Melania documentary are actively discussing the possibility of a second installment. An insider added, “Part two is absolutely being talked about. They see this as an ongoing story, not a one-off.”

A media executive further acknowledged that though there’s a decline in box office performance, the shift from theatrical to streaming might improve the performance and could strengthen the possibility of a sequel. The source said, “Streaming data tells a very different story than theatrical. If it performs well on Amazon Prime Video, that strengthens the case for a sequel.” The documentary debuted in theaters, earning $2.9 million on the first day. Its opening weekend collection was $7 million, which dropped by 67% in the second weekend.

Sources further reveal that if a second installment happens, it will explore Melania’s story further, digging deep into her business goals, global presence, and public role. They state that it will be a “reintroduction” and not a continuation. “They’re thinking bigger picture. This isn’t over,” they further added. At the time of writing, the sequel wasn’t announced.

Directed by Brett Ratner, the documentary follows Melania Trump during the twenty days leading up to the 2025 presidential inauguration. It highlights the challenges she faces during her transition before officially assuming the role of First Lady for the second time. Last month, it premiered at the Trump Kennedy Center, a historic venue that underwent a name change last year.
