On February 14, Ray J tried to give fans an up-close performance while, allegedly, his eyes were bleeding — but doing so got his heart monitor stolen in the crowd. The singer-songwriter shared that the decision has turned into a serious health issue because he needs to track his heart. Now, he pleads for the one who took the monitor to bring it back to him.
Ray J’s heart monitor stolen during onstage bleeding incident, appeals for its return
TMZ exclusively reported that while performing with bleeding eyes onstage, Ray J’s heart monitor got stolen with the 45-year-old accusing a fan of taking the device off his bare chest when he jumped into the audience during his Valentine’s Day concert in Shreveport, Louisiana. Ray J told the outlet he has worn the monitor for the last two weeks so that his doctors can follow his condition and make decisions about his care.
He said, “I try to jump out in the crowd and touch the people and sing the song with the people. I always wanna go to the crowd,” adding, “Unfortunately, as it got crazy going in the back under the tunnel, somebody snatched my heart monitor off.”
Ray J stressed that the missing device holds information his doctors need. Hence, he pleaded, “If you have the heart monitor, just let us know how we can get it back, if it’s possible, ’cause I need it for analytics. It’s important.” Besides, he explained, “If not, they’ll put another heart monitor on me, but I don’t have no data for the past two weeks.”
Ray J further clarified, “And so it affects like them, you know, prescribing me what I need or telling me that I need to either slow down or I’m doing great.” He also offered an incentive for its return, saying, “DM me in this meetup so I can at least get it back. You know what I’m saying? Whatever y’all need from us, we’ll give it back to you. Or we’ll give you some cash or whatever,” and adding, “It was pretty critical.”
