Another America’s Next Top Model Documentary Is Coming

Just when we thought there was enough tea on America’s Next Top Model, we’re getting a second serving! And it’s piping hot. E! is releasing a docuseries that shines a light on the dark side of TV. The series is called Dirty Rotten Scandals. It features three popular programs, namely Dr. Phil, America’s Next Top Model, and The Price is Right.

Dirty Rotten Scandals on E! will spotlight ANTM during an episode

The docuseries on E! Looks at all the scandals on television, including allegations of exploitation, sexual harassment lawsuits, discrimination, and more. The back-to-back episodes that will air on March 11 focus on the highly controversial runway reality competition

There were already hints about the upcoming ANTM special episodes. Former contestant Lisa D’Amato has talked about her ANTM exposé that was set to air in March. In fact, she had some choice words for Netflix’s Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model documentary, claiming they released it early to one-up her.

Former ANTM judge Janice Dickinson joins Lisa, the ANTM Season 17 winner, in the episode to talk about what went on behind the scenes. The episodes include first-hand interviews with contestants and the steep prices they paid for a chance to be “on top.”

“America’s Next Top Model really tortured these girls for Tyra Banks’ ego,” Janice explained.

Lisa adds that it “wasn’t a modeling competition. It was psychological warfare.” It looks like this documentary is going to look at the even uglier side of the show. The Netflix series focused a lot on Tyra’s perspective, and while it did have some shocking revelations, Lisa was right to assume that, for the most part, Tyra wouldn’t take accountability for what happened.

From body shaming to sexual assault allegations, there was a lot to be concerned about. Since the show aired on Netflix, more and more former contestants have come forward to share their experiences on the show. And they did not paint a pretty picture.

One former contestant, Lauren Utter, even shared a photo of the ANTM contract that protects the show’s production from liabilities that may arise with the models’ travel and accommodations.

Dirty Rotten Scandals premieres March 4.
