We’re still trying to process our thoughts on how The Traitors Season 4 might end, but thankfully, House of Villains has arrived to offer us a whackier, way less serious take on the genre. When one cross-franchise reality TV showdown ends, another one begins, and on this one, strategy and murder take a backseat to comedy and chaos.
Last season on House of Villains, we saw that thesis in full effect when Safaree from Love & Hip Hop took home the title of America’s Ultimate Supervillain. He didn’t really have to lie, cheat, or steal. He definitely didn’t have to get on his knees and beg for the win. Instead, Safaree secured his win by making friends and having a silly old time with this deeply unserious game.
But will Season 3’s villains prove to be a little more cutthroat?
What happened in House of Villains Season 3 Episodes 1-3?
In the action-packed House of Villains Season 3 premiere, Joel welcomed 10 new villains into the competition, along with Tiffany returning for a third shot at becoming America’s Ultimate Supervillain. Throughout the first three episodes, the reality TV icons wasted no time getting started with a bunch of nonsense. An alliance formed, a fake showmance blossomed, and in the end, one fabulous villain got banished from the game. Keep on scrolling for all of the details of this bumper three-episode premiere.
Who is competing on House of Villains Season 3?
House of Villains Season 3 Episode 1, “Third Time’s the Charm,” kicked off with the latest villains coming into the lair for a shot at the title and a $200,000 grand prize. The cast includes these villainous legends:

- Tyson Apostol (The Challenge, Survivor)
- Kate Chastain (Below Deck, The Traitors)
- Jackie Christie (Basketball Wives)
- Drita D’Avanzo (Mob Wives)
- Plane Jane (RuPaul’s Drag Race)
- Johnny Middlebrooks (Love Island, The Challenge)
- Ashley Mitchell (The Challenge)
- Tiffany “New York” Pollard (Flavor of Love, I Love New York)
- Christine Quinn (Selling Sunset)
- Tom Sandoval (The Traitors, Vanderpump Rules)
Upon entering the house, the 10 new cast members were greeted by Tiffany’s enchanting voice. New York is still in the building, and it’s literally as if she hasn’t left since the cameras went down from Season 2. She’s a permanent fixture in the House of Villains’ lair. At this point, she probably receives mail there.
Although some people in the house, along with some fans online, felt surprised to see Tiffany back in the competition, we’re so here for it. If Johnny Bananas can compete on 68 seasons of The Challenge, then Tiffany can do as many seasons as House of Villains that she wants.
Tyson became Season 3’s first Supervillain
Just like the previous seasons, this game is all about wielding the power of the Supervillain. Each week, the players duke it out in a Battle Royale Challenge to earn that power. The Supervillain then gets to nominate players for the Hit List, and the players have to vote to banish someone from that list.
Tyson was the first player of Season 3 bestowed with this special power, and it didn’t take much effort to earn it. Literally, all he had to do was pull a lever. Easy enough, right?
It all happened when Joel brought out a giant lever, placed it in front of the villains, and dared someone to pull it. No one knew what it would do. Would it lead to banishment? Would it reveal a secret player hiding in the bushes? Nope! It was just a way to get someone to take control of the game, and Tyson was all over it.
Tyson said his experience on Survivor made him realize that pulling the mystery lever would probably be a good idea. Sure enough, he was right. He’s the first Supervillain of the Week, and he also got access to a private room! It’s not quite as glorious as the Head of Household suite on Big Brother, but definitely the same concept.
Episode 1 was a good round for Tyson, and for his first order of business, he put Paul, Christine, and Jackie up on the Hit List.
Showmances and bromances were on full display
In House of Villains Season 3 Episode 2, “When You’ve Got Nothing Left, You’ve Got Nothing to Lose,” a clear division became apparent in the house. Tyson, Sandoval, Johnny, and Paul formed an alliance of bros. Tyson only put Paul on the Hit List as a decoy.
Ashley, for some reason, felt like the boys would be the winning team to jump on, so she’s riding on their coattails for now. Meanwhile, Christine wound up getting swept in with their group because of a weird, one-sided showmance she’s blossoming with Johnny.
According to Johnny, the two of them met at a bar by happenstance months before House of Villains. He felt a spark and has been chasing that high ever since, sending her DMs without a reply.
Christine might have been single when they met, but she has a boyfriend now. Still, that won’t stop Johnny. He’s fully aware that HOV isn’t a dating show, and he knows she’s off the market, but the man can’t help himself. He’s falling for her, and that’s going to impact how he votes.
The Selling Sunset alum, on the other hand, made it clear that she’s going to give Johnny just enough attention to get in good with the boys’ alliance. We’re not so sure that’s going to be a winning strategy.
Who got banished in the House of Villains Season 3 premiere?
In a devastating turn of events, Jackie was the first villain banished from Season 3. Another L for the fans of Basketball Wives.
Jackie’s road to an early banishment started at the Redemption Challenge. It was a game of memory, and Paul ended up winning. He escaped the Hit List, leaving Jackie and Christie up for banishment. The Basketball Wives star quickly became an easy target for Tyson and bros.
When the votes rolled in, Drita and Tiffany were the only ones to have Jackie’s back. She also randomly got a vote from Paul, but that was less about saving her and more about Paul wanting to sow some chaos in the alliance. Those Big Brother players just can’t help themselves.
With a 5-3 vote, Jackie got the boot. They strapped her to a chair and flung her through the wall. We’ll see you at the jury, Mrs. Doug Christie.
Three more villains went up on the Hit List
The 10 remaining players rolled into another round of gameplay in House of Villains Season 3 Episode 3, “Let Them Spill Tea.” With Jackie out of the game, the bro alliance got stronger, and everyone was paranoid about who cast the third vote for Christine. Paul didn’t say a word.
For the next Battle Royale Challenge, Joel invited Victoria from Season 2 to lead the villains through a game where they had to sneak around each other and poison each other with toxic tea. It all felt very on-brand for these people.
Johnny from Love Island wound up becoming the winner, so he’s the new Supervillain of the Week. The twist? Paul found a perk in a pizza box that made him the Supervillain’s special helper. They both got to pick the Hit List because again, this show is deeply unserious.
Unfortunately for the lovely ladies of the lair, Johnny and Paul decided to stick with their boy alliance. They picked Kate, Plane, and Tiffany for the Hit List. It’s like they don’t want this season to be entertaining.
