Beyonce & Jay-Z’s Big UK Move Hits a Wall Over Unexpected Risk — Source

Beyonce and Jay Z are back in real estate chatter after a UK plan reportedly hit a snag. As per a new report, the duo was linked to a Cotswolds site. A source said the move to the UK was “rained off” due to flooding concerns. The report said they eyed a £7.5 million, 58-acre parcel with permission for a seven-bedroom home. However, the Beyoncé and Jay-Z UK home plot was flagged as flood-prone.

A source told The Sun, “Beyonce and Jay-Z buying this plot of land was the talk of the Cotswolds.” It also reported that the pair is worth £1.5 billion. The outlet said the “99 Problems” rapper and the “Cowboy Carter” singer walked away. It linked their exit to the flooding risk on the Beyoncé and Jay-Z UK home plot. In addition, the report said the plot “has still not been sold.” It added that it is now being developed by another couple.

In turn, a source told The Sun, “So many locals were excited about them moving in.” The insider added, “But the plan appears to have fallen through.” The same source said, “It’s a flood-prone area,” and recent weather “put a dampener on proceedings.” The insider also cited “all the rain we’ve had over the past month.” As a result, the move to the UK was framed as stalled rather than completed.

Still, The Sun pointed to another celebrity exit tied to the same issue. It said flooding pushed US host Ellen DeGeneres to sell in the Cotswolds. For context, it said they bought an Oxfordshire estate for £15 million in June 2024. Then, it said the home flooded in November during Storm Bert. Later, it said they listed it for £22.5 million. For now, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have not confirmed any move to the UK. Even so, the flooding warning remains the key blocker here.
