The Traitors Season 4 has officially come to an end, after an eventful two-month journey. Season 4 was filled with twists and turns from the start, which made it an exciting watch. This season featured new twists such as The Secret Traitor and saw many shocking murders and banishments. While the entirety of Season 4 was thrilling, the finale was particularly shocking. These moments were among the most shocking of the night.
Rob Rausch and Eric Nam chose Mark Ballas for the final murder of the season
The finale began with the final murder of the season, which came as quite a shock. Traitors Rob Rausch and Eric Nam had deliberated for a while over who to choose. They ended up agreeing on Mark Ballas, despite working with him for the entire season. Mark was a good ally to Rob and Eric, and while he was suspicious of them toward the end, he was ultimately still on their side. If Mark had made it to the end, he likely wouldn’t have tried to banish either of them.
After the most recent episodes, Tara Lipinski seemed like the most obvious choice for the final murder. She had expressed her doubts towards Rob and was one of the first people to correctly suspect him of being a Traitor. Tara has also made it clear that she’s strongly aligned with her best friend Johnny Weir, and that they would be voting together every banishment. It would have made more sense for Rob and Eric to murder Tara, as Mark was more likely to vote with them until the end. If Tara and Johnny had been able to convince Maura Higgins to vote with them, then Rob and Eric would’ve been in trouble.
After banishing Tara Lipinski, Rob turned on Eric Nam to be the last Traitor standing and win the game
Following Mark’s murder, Johnny was banished. This left Tara, Maura, Eric, and Rob as the last players left standing. The group decided to banish again, and this time sent Tara home. This wasn’t a shock, as Maura, Eric, and Rob were all firmly against her. After Tara left the castle, Eric voted to end the game, while Maura and Rob chose to banish someone again.
Eric was shocked and knew that the decision meant his fate had been sealed. He and Rob voted to banish each other, while Maura voted for Eric and sent him home. While it was foreseeable that Maura would turn against Eric, the fact that Rob did as well was shocking. If Rob wanted to go to the end with Eric, they could’ve planned to banish Maura together at the final three. However, Rob followed Maura’s lead, knowing that it would allow him to claim all the prize money for himself.
This led to Rob and Maura being the final two, where Rob shocked Maura by revealing that he was a Traitor. While this was predictable, it was still surprising to watch Rob win the game after all of the suspicion on him towards the end. Ultimately, he played an amazing game and truly earned his win.
Candiace Dillard Basset accused Rob of cheating during the reunion
At the Season 4 reunion, the drama of the season continued to unfold. Candiace Dillard Bassett was still unhappy with Rob, as she felt that he had betrayed her in the game. She even went as far as accusing him of breaking the rules during the game. Candiace claimed that Rob had gone against the rules in telling Colton Underwood that she was a Traitor.
Colton confirmed that he never believed or knew that Rob was a Traitor, and that the speculation of Candiace was merely suspicion. Rob agreed and explained that there was no way he could have confirmed this for Colton. Candiace has been upset with Rob since she was banished, but it was a shock that she went as far as to accuse him of cheating.
