There are still plenty of unanswered questions regarding Jeffrey Epstein. Former President Bill Clinton was asked to shed some light on himself before the House Oversight Committee. He is among the many high-profile names that have been photographed on Jeffrey’s island, while Bill had been named in the documents on the Epstein files.
Among the questions the previous-Arkansas Governor was asked was about the late financier’s state of mind before his death in jail. New information has come out, which reportedly puts into doubt the belief that Jeffrey committed suicide while awaiting another trial in 2019. New York’s Chief Medical Examiner back then deemed the death a suicide. Jeffrey’s lawyers, though, challenged these rulings, believing there might be foul play.
The former President doesn’t know if Jeffrey Epstein truly killed himself
If the House Committee were looking for help from Bill to shine a light on Jeffrey’s death, they were left disappointed. The former President was asked if he believes Jeffrey killed himself. After his representative interjected numerous times, he was then asked if he believed the financier was suicidal. Bill responded with “I don’t know. I only know what the medical finding was. I’ve accepted it in my own mind. I don’t know what happened.”
Following years of conspiracy surrounding Jeffrey’s death, former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino last year said there’s a video to prove he killed himself while behind bars. Given his reputation and his high profile, there were concerns that something might happen to Jeffrey while in prison.
Bill has always claimed to have no knowledge of Jeffrey’s criminal activity. Years before Jeffrey’s prosecution he says he cut ties with him. In December, there was speculation that the Epstein files release would lead Hillary to finally divorce him.
Many Democrats have said Bill’s name is in the Epstein documents to divert attention from Donald Trump. At his hearing, Bill said that Donald never told him anything to suggest he had anything to do with Jeffrey’s crimes.
