Princess Diana’s Former Bodyguard Labels Ex-Prince Andrew’s ‘Arrogant’

The late Princess Diana‘s former bodyguard has recently opened up about ex-Prince Andrew’s situation. During his appearance on the “Suddenly Single” podcast, Ken Wharfe recalled past encounters with the former Duke of York. According to him, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was “one of the most arrogant individuals.”

For those unversed, the 66-year-old was arrested on February 19 at his new home in the Sandringham estate. He was interrogated for 11 hours on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Princess Diana’s former bodyguard sheds light on meeting ex-Prince Andrew

Princess Diana’s former bodyguard, Ken Wharfe, recently talked about ex-Prince Andrew amid his arrest drama. The SAS-trained Scotland Yard inspector appeared in an episode of the “Suddenly Single” podcast, where he recalled meeting the ex-duke.

“I did, on a few occasions, have dealings with him in a professional capacity – and I found him to be one of the most arrogant individuals I’ve ever had the misfortune of meeting,” Wharfe said. He was the late princess’s personal protection officer from 1988 to 1993.

Furthermore, he mentioned in the interview that he has “taken a personal stand” on Andrew’s situation since the latter came to public attention because of his scandalous past. According to the ex-bodyguard, the entire issue regarding King Charles’ younger brother has reportedly been “excruciatingly toxic.”

Wharfe further claimed that the ongoing subject has allegedly been far from finished. Moreover, he was unsure about “where this might end up.” Therefore, he claimed to refrain from getting involved in the whole drama.

Meanwhile, Andrew has been in the news for all the wrong reasons since last year. Recently, after his arrest incident, reports stated that he should allegedly be removed from the line of succession. Royal expert Jennie Bond told the Mirror that the father of two was “certainly not fit to be King” when he was stripped of his prince title.
