Britney Spears is back in the news for the wrong reasons. The Princess of Pop was arrested in Ventura California on Wednesday night. The mother of two has had her share of rough moments publicly in 2025. Her ex-husband Kevin Federline blasted her parenting among other things in a tell-all memoir.
Since that book came out she had her share of bizarre moments online last year. Among them was a rant against the United States, saying how much she hated it. For a while she had reportedly cut off some close friends and family. Plenty of those people reportedly had concerns about her well-being.
Britney Spears was arrested for alleged DUI
It’s not been a great start to March for Britney. The toxic singer was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol around 9:30 pm local time on Wednesday. TMZ reports that the arrest was for allegedly driving under the influence (DUI). According to the Ventura County Sheriff inmate records she is no longer in custody.
This run-in with the law comes after the Toxic singer won a legal battle against a Louisiana man. Britney got a restraining order against the person who apparently showed up at her Los Angeles home without warning. He also reportedly shared some disturbing social media posts about her.
In 2023, Britney published a book about her life called The Woman in Me. A biopic about that memoir might not happen according to a September report. Britney is reportedly trying to control too much in that process.
Britney is trying to reconnect with her two sons, which has had their share of ups and downs. In December, Sean reportedly didn’t want to go to her place to celebrate Thanksgiving, leaving her heartbroken. Her other son, Jayden, however decided to come with the two said to have had a wonderful time.
In January, Britney praised Jayden’s musical talents and believed he could have a bright future in the industry.
