Savannah Guthrie’s Message for Today Show Co-Hosts During Return

Savannah Guthrie is showing strength and determination in the face of a sad situation. The co-host of the Today Show has been away from the anchor desk at NBC since her mother Nancy, was allegedly kidnapped.

The story has rocked Nancy’s loved ones and everyone who works with Savannah. It has been over a month since the 84-year-old mother of three went missing following an alleged kidnapping. Savannah had a message for her colleagues during this difficult time.

Savannah Guthrie returned to the Today show amid the search for her mom Nancy

There were plenty of hugs and tears at Studio 1A in New York on Thursday. That’s when Savannah returned to visit those she works with at NBC. On Friday’s episode of the Today Show, Craig Melvin revealed Savannah’s message to her colleagues and the public. She said, “I’m still standing, and I still have hope,” despite her mother’s disappearance. She admits that she’s not sure which version of her will be on the air when she returns, but it will be her.

Craig added that Savannah thanked everyone on the show for their prayers and support. “I still believe,” Savannah added about her mom being found sometime soon. She also added that she intends to return to the Today Show. Because of her mother’s disappearance, Savannah was pulled from the NBC lineup to co-host the opening ceremonies at the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics.

Investigators and the FBI have been working feverishly to search for a suspect in Nancy’s alleged kidnapping and chase down leads. A description of the alleged suspect was released weeks ago. For her part, Savannah offered a $1 million reward to anyone who came forward with useful information.

Numerous ransom notes had been sent to news outlets previously. Savannah had shared videos online, pleading for help with this matter.
