Nicole Kidman & Daughters ‘Recite’ & ‘Act Out’ This Movie To Feel Better

On the March 11 episode of the “Las Culturistas” podcast with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, Nicole Kidman revealed that the movie “Bridesmaids” is a comfort watch for her and her daughters, Faith Margaret and Sunday Rose.

The Oscar-winning actress revealed that it is their go-to movie for the days when they need a lift. From what she says, it sounds like their best family time is knowing the 2011 hit by heart, turning it into a family tradition rather than just a rewatch.

In the episode, Nicole Kidman talked about the movie and said, “My daughter and I…we watch ‘Bridesmaids’ when we’re feeling down, whenever we need a lift.” And it does not stop at pressing play. Kidman revealed, “We watch it, we recite it, we act it out, and we do that in the kitchen,” adding, “And that is our go-to savior film to pull us out of a funk.”

It is a relatable picture for most parents who bond with their kids using art forms — except this is one of Hollywood’s most acclaimed stars standing in the kitchen with her teens, quoting lines and acting out scenes like any other family that knows a movie by heart.

Kidman shares Sunday and Faith with her ex-husband, Keith Urban. Besides, she is also mom to daughter Bella and son Connor from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise.

Earlier this month, Nicole Kidman also spoke with PEOPLE at the red carpet premiere for her upcoming television series “Scarpetta,” where she was asked whether her daughters might ever want to act alongside her — and Kidman made it clear she would not speak for them.

She said, “I mean, I can’t answer for them,” adding, “The thing that we all know about children and when they become young women, don’t answer for them.”

Still, Kidman did not hide how she feels about having her kids close. She told PEOPLE, “I would just love to have them with me at all times, all the time,” and if her “Bridesmaids” ritual is any proof, she is not making it up.
