Fans of Gabby Windey are in luck. She is about to host Love Overboard, a brand-new dating series on Hulu. As the name implies, this competition-based series features a decent mix of two other beloved programs, Below Deck and Love Island. Gracious, strangers angling for love while stranded and working together on a massive yacht, sign us up. Here’s what the trailer teases.
Love Overboard is coming to Hulu at the end of March
In the official trailer for Love Overboard, we finally learn what this series is all about. Just like on Below Deck, these stars will be hard at work, fetching drinks, cleaning, and entertaining their charter guests. However, their guests are also their fellow contestants.
You know how on Below Deck, certain yachties get really hung up on matters like hierarchy? Well, hierarchy is the name of the game on Love Overboard. Somehow, four couples will win a sweet deal, living a life of luxury as the guests. Meanwhile, those who failed to grab this ring will appear as the “Downsiders.”
In the trailer, we see Bella, one of the Downsiders, crying. She asks the camera, “Why would I want to pick up after people that I think I’m sexier than?” As for Gabby, she serves as the host of this “messy” series. In the trailer, we see her revealing a rather shocking plot twist to her contestants.
To rise above their stations, those working on the bottom deck have to break up one of these four couples. If they do, they earn a position on the upper deck, while the ousted contestants must literally walk the plank. But then, we also learn of yet another plot twist. At some point, six late-joining “Shipwreckers” will board their yacht, causing even more contestants to enter the sea, whether they like it or not.
Love Overboard premieres Thursday, March 26, with all nine episodes streaming on Hulu.
