Welcome back to our Southern Hospitality Season 4 recap! Last week, Maddi, Brad, and Mia agreed to move past their issues, but Emmy is still on the outs. This week, more talks went down, Joe goes back to his roots, and a new beef shakes things up. Here’s everything that happened in Southern Hospitality Season 4, Episode 3: “An Olive Branch, Served Dirty.”
What Went Down on Southern Hospitality Season 4 Episode 3?

The episode picks up with Mia’s quick voice-over about what happened in the first two episodes. It ends with her revealing that she and Maddi squashed their beef and she’s now single and ready to mingle.
Cue: Justin! He’s flirting and teasing Mia. He admits that he’s not typically a home-wrecker, but if he had had the chance to wreck Mia and Troy’s home, he would have. It looks like he’s in full pursuit mode despite “dating” Jordyn. Who needs these pesky labels anyway?
Maddi also takes the opportunity to talk to TJ (without her PowerPoint, thank goodness). Luckily, the conversation goes well. Both of them apologize and agree to move forward. However, TJ’s not ready to move on with Emmy just yet as he and Brad still have some serious issues with how Emmy portrayed them.
Emmy learns that words matter and hers are coming back to haunt her

Justin proposes a toast to Brad and Julia. He also says it would be great if everyone could squash their beef and enjoy the summer.
Emmy knows that the possibility of that happening isn’t likely and jokes that if everyone can make amends, she’ll break her two-year wellness sobriety and take a shot. On that note, the discussions start.
Emmy tries to gloss over all the drama by saying everyone made mistakes. Brad’s not having that. He brings up the fact that she said he made her feel “unsafe,” and everyone cringes.
Emmy tries to justify her feelings by saying that she never said he was dead to her, so his text to her “scared her,” but Molly shuts that down immediately by saying she heard Emmy say it through their shared hotel wall.
Even Mia and Michols get in on it and remind Emmy what that type of harmful verbiage can do in their town. Emmy admitted that it was not the right word to use, but that her emotions and anger got the best of her.
Then we switch to TJ, who got heaps of hate thanks to Emmy and Will basically co-signing him as a predator when they went on a podcast. He’s still upset, and Emmy admits that she didn’t know what to say at the time.
Even Molly has beef with Emmy for liking an inappropriate fat-shaming IG comment. All the roosters are coming home to roost. Eventually, Emmy throws her hands up and says she’s sorry. In the end, Emmy apologizes again to Brad, and he reluctantly agrees to try to move forward.
Alcohol to the rescue: Here come the body shots at Folly Beach

Emmy takes a shot with everyone in the hopes of starting a new and better chapter. And that’s not the last of the alcohol for the evening.
The crew heads to a bar to do body shots. TJ does one off Michols, and the pair have more than just a quick kiss at the end of it. Emmy was scandalized because the Michols is significantly younger than TJ.
Meanwhile, Justin’s not missing his shot (thanks, Wayne Gretzky). He goes for it with Mia. He may have spent a bit more time than necessary at her belly button, but she didn’t mind the view.
Friends with Benefits Southern Hospitality style

After a fun night at Folly, everyone’s back to work. Justin admitted to spending more time with Mia after the body shot and that they have a date. This didn’t sit too well with Jordyn, who confronted him about it (but still spent the night).
It looks like Justin is getting to enjoy his friends with benefits while still pursuing Mia, whom he dubbed the “female version of him.” Wow, talk about self-love.
Meanwhile, another friends-with-occasional-make-out-benefits is TJ and Michols. Lake senses a bit of awkwardness and “sexual tension” with the pair at work, but TJ brushes it off and says why can’t they just be friends who make out?
Joey Bottles makes his triumphant return to King’s Street

Joe is dead set on proving to Leva he is worthy and decides to go back to what he does best. He takes Justin and Brad for a walk with him down King’s Street to meet all the people and invite them over to Republic.
From tourists to bachelorette parties to friends out on the town, he has a Pied Piper vibe as he brings the crowds back to the bar, much to Leva’s delight.
She admits that he’s done a great job that night but she reminds him that what she needs is consistency. He doesn’t just need to bring in the crowds, but also be there for shifts not off somewhere with Maddi, plan events, go to meetings, etc. She needs to see this for the next six to eight months.
The olive branch is not all it’s cracked up to be for Emmy

It’s been one year since Molly ditched her useless ex so she’s celebrating with all her girls and gays. Lake came over early to help her get ready and tell her that Emmy won’t be making it because Molly didn’t invite her and “extend the olive branch” personally.
Molly’s not phased. She doesn’t think Emmy was sincere in her apology anyway. She thinks that if she had invited her, she still wouldn’t have come.
And speaking of olive branch, Emmy may have extended one to Brad, but she definitely wasn’t sincere with TJ and Molly. And this is proven when she chats with her friend on the phone and essentially admits she just apologized to get them to “leave her alone.”
She then doubles down on the TJ beef. She admits that she doesn’t think he’s a predator, but she does think he is being inappropriate, going after drunk straight men. Uhm, she may need a refresher on the definition of predator.
Molly’s girls and the gays’ night is filled with pajamas, cucumbers, and tension

Molly’s party starts off with a bit of tension (and a bunch of “salty” cucumbers thanks to Michols). Maddi shared that Grace ambushed her over the dress code before she arrived. Grace was peeved that no one told her it was a pajama party.
It seems like Grace has a problem with Maddi in particular since it was Molly’s party, but Maddi got the heat for not telling her about the pajama theme. This later proves to be true when Grace tells Maddi to shut the f*ck up and that she’s annoying. That may have been the alcohol talking but it did seem a bit harsh.
Grace admits that she’s mad at Maddi but doesn’t want to talk about it in front of everyone. Eventually, she admits that she thinks Maddi is not a reciprocal friend. From Maddi’s POV, Grace blames her for everything.
And there it is. When one beef is squashed, another rises up to take its place. Hopefully, we’ll find out more next week.
Southern Hospitality airs Thursday nights at 9/8c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock.
