Gavin Newsom mocks Donald Trump after his recent comments
According to The Daily Beast, California Governor Gavin Newsom mocked President Donald Trump after Trump mistakenly referred to him as “president of the United States” while criticizing him during remarks from the Oval Office. The comment came as Trump attacked Newsom over his dyslexia, calling him “dumb” and “a low-IQ person.” Newsom responded by highlighting the verbal error and issuing public statements online.
Trump said, “Honestly, I’m all for people with learning disabilities, but not for my president,” and added, “I don’t want… I think a president should not have learning disabilities, OK?” He also stated, “I know it’s highly controversial to say such a horrible thing. The president of the United States, Gavin Newscum, admitted that he has learning disabilities, dyslexia… ah… everything about him is dumb.”
Newsom responded on X, writing, “To every kid with a learning disability: don’t let anyone — not even the President of the United States — bully you. Dyslexia isn’t a weakness. It’s your strength.”
His press office also posted a message claiming it had overturned all of Trump’s executive orders and had fired “EVERY TRUMP GOON.”
The same post included statements declaring policy changes and concluded, “THE COUNTRY IS NOW RUN BY SOMEONE WHO CAN ACTUALLY COMPLETE A SENTENCE. AMERICA IS NOW ‘HOT’ BECAUSE YOU HAVE A DYSLEXIC PRESIDENT INSTEAD OF A BRAIN-DEAD ONE. BIG UPGRADE!”
Newsom had previously referenced Trump’s remarks and wrote, “I spoke about my dyslexia. I know that’s hard for a brain-dead moron who bombs children and protects pedophiles to understand.”
Trump also said, “I don’t want the president of the United States to have a cognitive deficiency,” and added, “You gotta be sharp as hell.” A White House spokesperson said, “President Trump is right.”
