Justin Timberlake’s DWI arrest body cam footage goes viral
When authorities pulled Justin Timberlake’s car over, he clarified to them that he was following his friends back to his house. They then asked him about his car, and he replied that he was in a rental car for a few days and is also on a world tour. When the authorities pressed for clarification, he struggled to explain himself. After asking him to show his driver’s license and documents related to the car, he was pulled over to check if he was sober to drive safely.
As the police conducted a series of sobriety tests, Timberlake commented, “These are, like, hard tests. My heart’s racing.” At one moment, the police flash the light into his face to check for and then ask him to walk in a straight line, but he struggles to do it.
Given the authorities’ sobriety assessment, they decide to arrest Timberlake, but his friends, Estee Stanley and her husband, Bryan Furst, whom he was following, arrive on the scene. While Timberlake complied with law enforcement, Stanley came in and asked the authorities if they were taking him into custody. She then asked them if they could hand over Timberlake’s phone to him, but the authorities refused, calling it a breach of law.
She made another attempt through the NYSYNC card. “Can you guys please just do me a favor ’cause you loved ‘Bye Bye Bye’ or ‘SexyBack’? Do me one favor?” she asked. The officials eventually allowed her to briefly speak to Timberlake before they headed to the police station. She was also later allowed to drive Timberlake’s car, as the matter was left for the police to handle.
