Further reports about an alleged clash between Justin Bieber and Usher at last weekend’s Oscars have emerged. Earlier this week, stories about a confrontation between the two musicians spread online and in publications, involving a “heated exchange”. While the meeting was said to be non-physical, Justin allegedly approached Usher with “energy and anger.”
Usher is a long-time mentor of the former child star. The two were introduced when Justin was just 13, through his then-manager Scooter Braun. The star even performed at his wedding to his now-wife, Hailey Bieber.

According to new reports from Radar Online, a long-time feud between the two stars reached “boiling point” at Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s post-Oscars party.
Sources, said to have witnessed the feud at the party, said Usher “reacted angrily when Justin brushed him off in “the same way he has for a while now.”
Claims from those close to Usher say, “From his perspective, there’s a level of loyalty and gratitude that hasn’t been reciprocated.” Furthermore, “the distance between them has come off as dismissive and disrespectful.”
“Usher, who played a key role in helping Justin get his start, feels that history matters.” They also claimed Justin’s strange relationship with ex-manager Scooter is likely to blame for the distance.
Justin’s camp, however, says it’s “baffling” that Usher wouldn’t know why there’s an issue. “Usher was around from the beginning, ever since Justin was a kid,” a second source said.
Additionally, the pair were allegedly tense because of Usher’s headlining of the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show. Sources told Radar that Usher “desperately” tried to get Justin to join him onstage and “had thrown some ideas his way.” However, he was rebuffed by the younger singer.
The two pop music icons were last spotted together at Coeur d’Alene in Idaho, back in 2022.
