It’s been a difficult couple of weeks for Larsa Pippen. Earlier this month, Bravo pulled the plug on The Real Housewives of Miami for the second time in the show’s history. Then, as if losing her job wasn’t hard enough, thieves just tried to break into Larsa’s house. Fortunately, she managed to catch the whole thing on video, and the three suspects are sitting in a jail cell.
Three men are facing charges of attempted burglary
The terrifying situation occurred in broad daylight this week, according to a report from TMZ. Surveillance footage shows a guy at her back patio, hammering away at a door. Another guy in a hoodie stood by watching.
Apparently, they weren’t hammering hard enough because they were unable to get in through the door. You can see them wander away out of the camera’s view when their break-in attempt wasn’t going as planned. They did, however, manage to shatter a few windows in the process.
After the attempted break-in, the suspects made off in a car, which they wound up crashing when the police tried to pull them over. Three guys were in the car, one of them a teenager. They tried to flee on foot, and of course, that also didn’t go as planned. The entire thing was caught on video by Florida news outlet WSVN-TV.
The three suspects were arrested and face several criminal charges, including attempted burglary of an unoccupied dwelling. They remain in jail while the investigation continues.
Although the investigation is ongoing, police believe that Larsa may have been specifically targeted. If true, she wouldn’t be the first Real Housewives star singled out by criminals. For example, just last year, the homes of two Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars were burglarized while they were away at BravoCon.
In Larsa’s case, the burglars never made it inside, and they didn’t steal anything. Other Housewives haven’t been as lucky.
The Real Housewives of Miami is streaming on Peacock.
