Jon Hamm confessed he showed his “real butt” in a new Your Friends & Neighbours scene. The 55-year-old plays Andrew Cooper, a wealthy financier who steals from his neighbours after getting fired from his job. The second season of the Apple TV+ show will premiere on April 3, and the streaming service has also renewed the show for a third season.
Jon Hamm talks about showing ‘butt’ in Season 2
Jon Hamm disclosed that he did not use a stunt double and showed his “real butt” in a Season 2 scene of Your Friends & Neighbours. The 55-year-old actor told host Andy Cohen on Monday’s episode of Radio Andy, “It’s my real butt, I think.”
Furthermore, Cohen pointed out that Hamm’s rear end was visible in the “first six and a half minutes of Season 2.” The host asked if the actor had a butt double. Hamm clarified that he doesn’t.
Moreover, Cohen and co-host John Hill asked if the Mad Men alum did anything special to prepare for this particular scene or if he had any reactions to his bare behind. Hamm replied, “Guys, I’m straight.” The 55-year-old actor also shared that he doesn’t remember stripping down for the cameras and, should there be any issue, he trusts post-production to take care of it (via PEOPLE).
The Emmy-winning actor doesn’t shy away from talking about his body and the painstaking efforts he takes to prepare for his characters. In 2023, Hamm confessed to wearing prosthetic pierced nipples for his role as Sheriff Roy Tillman in Fargo.
At the time, he revealed to Variety, “I had to have some very blue latex put on my nipples, and then they cast a resoundingly lifelike pair of nipples, which they then pierced and placed over my own nipples, and we shot said nipples. The crew doesn’t get enough credit, but there was a dedicated nippleologist.”
Not only that, Hamm will be guesting on Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast to promote the new season of Your Friends & Neighbours. Jason introduced him with his trademark, high-octane introduction. In response, Hamm remarked, “Thank you. That is a WWE-style intro. I like that.”
Jason shared, “Also Chiefs kingdom member,” to which the 55-year-old actor replied, “Certainly so, yes.”
