The news of Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s romance feels like an emergency, but Summer House producers aren’t treating it as such. Insiders close to production have confirmed that cameras won’t resume for Season 10 to capture the aftermath of this scandal, which we’re now referring to as Scamanda. Instead, they’re going to try to squeeze all of this drama into the reunion.
Amanda Batula and West Wilson confirmed their shock romance

In case you somehow missed it, Amanda and West fessed up to their romance yesterday in a shocking joint statement. West had just denied the hookup rumors on Watch What Happens Live a few days prior. But the pair did a full 180 and left the Bravoverse in shambles.
“We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected,” the pair wrote in their statement.
They continued, “Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”
In the past, when major news like this broke, Bravo picked up cameras to capture the immediate aftermath. We saw it in Season 8 when Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke called off their engagement. Similarly, Vanderpump Rules resumed production to capture reactions to Scandoval. However, TMZ has confirmed that won’t be the case for Scamanda.
Insiders close to the show confirmed that the Summer House team has no plans to resume filming on Season 10. They’re sticking to their original production schedule. That means the first time this will be discussed in front of cameras will be at the reunion with Andy Cohen. That’s about to be appointment television.
Summer House airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo, and it’s always streaming on Peacock.
