Donald Trump Doesn’t ‘Care’ About Iran’s Enriched Uranium

Donald Trump says that he is not concerned about Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium. In recent remarks, the President said that it is under constant surveillance. This adds to his recent claim that the nuclear issue with Iran no longer exists.

Speaking with Reuters ahead of his Wednesday speech, Donald Trump stated that he does not care about Iran’s highly enriched uranium (HEU). When asked about the stockpile, the President said, “That’s so far underground, I don’t care about that.” He added, “We’ll always be watching it by satellite.” The POTUS further stated that Iran was “incapable” of developing a nuclear weapon now.

Trump had previously said that one of his key objectives of launching the war was to block Iran from developing nuclear power. However, at a recent executive order signing on Tuesday, the President said that the goal has been achieved. “I had one goal: They will have no nuclear weapon, and that goal has been attained,” he stated.

In his Wednesday address to the nation, Trump reiterated his stance, saying, “Iran can never be trusted with nuclear weapons. They will use them, and they will use them quickly. It would lead to decades of extortion, economic pain, and instability worse than we can ever imagine.” He also asserted that the United States is now more economically prepared than ever to confront any further threat.

Issuing fresh warnings to Iran, Trump added, “Thanks to the progress we’ve made, I can say tonight that we are on track to complete all of America’s military objectives shortly — very shortly. We are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks. We are going to bring them back to the stone ages where they belong.” The President noted that “discussions are ongoing,” saying “We have all the cards; they have none.”

Trump further warned that any renewed nuclear development efforts by Iran will be met with force. “If we see them make a move, even a move for it, we will hit them with missiles very hard again,” he said.

The statement comes just days after the US launched an attack on a large ammunition depot in Isfahan. Shortly after, Trump posted a video on Truth Social showing massive explosions in the night.
