Those close to Britney Spears are concerned for her well-being after her most recent brush with the law. The pop singer was arrested near Los Angeles for a DUI on March 4.
This wasn’t the only recent incident involving Britney. She was on video near her home driving erratically last October.
Worry surrounds the singer following her chaotic few months

Radar revealed Britney’s family and friends are hoping that, rather than a jail stint, she gets help. Reports say those close to the troubled singer hope she lands in a treatment center to “start the journey to get better.”
Britney’s manager said her Ventura County arrest was “an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.”
The singer was speeding and swerving in and out of lanes, driving over the speed limit. Britney was then pulled over by the California Highway Patrol, handcuffed by about 9:30 p.m. and arrested. She was then taken to the hospital for a blood alcohol test. According to Ventura County Sheriff inmate records, Britney was immediately released from jail. Radar reports her court date is May 4.
Sources told Radar Britney was embarrassed and tearful during her arrest. “Britney clearly needs help, and people in her world are saying the best path for her right now is rehab,” they said. “There’s a feeling this was a cry for help. She was incredibly emotional. It’s been a very hard couple of months.”
According to TMZ, an unknown substance found in Britney’s car, along with her blood, are being tested by authorities.
Radar sources allege she is associated with “known drug dealers.”
Her sons Sean and Jayden, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline, are supporting their mom, sources say. Also, those close to her are creating a path forward that focuses on Britney’s wellbeing, they add. “She tells people around her there’s nothing to be concerned about. But this incident, as well as so many others, reveal that simply isn’t the case,” Radar’s source said.
