Mark Ruffalo calls out Donald Trump amid Iran threat
Mark Ruffalo recently took to his Instagram to slam Donald Trump over the threat he sent to Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump took to Truth Social and wrote, “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!”
Commenting on the post, Ruffalo called Trump a “genocidal maniac” and stated, “This is the same kind of language that lead to the genocide in Gaza that was heavily assisted by the USA. Now we have a US President repeating it himself.” He further urged that Trump should be held “behind bars” for the language he has used against Iran. Ruffalo also conveyed that the language Trump has used “leads to genocides.”
Prior to this threat, Trump had given Iran a 48-hour deadline to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He asserted on Truth Social, “Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT. Time is running out – 48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them.” However, Iran’s central military command mocked the President’s threats. According to a CBS News report, Iran described Trump’s message as a “stupid action.”
