Donald Trump Threatens Action If Iran Fails to Comply With Ceasefire

Donald Trump took to social media to reveal that the U.S. military will remain in and around Iran until the nation follows the terms agreed upon between both parties. If at all, Iran fails to comply and breaches the deal, he threatens them with serious consequences. These comments come after Trump declared a “complete victory” for the U.S. with the two-week ceasefire deal.

Donald Trump sends fresh threats to Iran amid ceasefire

Trump gave a fresh set of warnings to Iran if it failed to comply with the ceasefire deal, agreed upon by both parties. He wrote on Truth Social, “All U.S. Ships, Aircraft, and Military Personnel, with additional Ammunition, Weaponry, and anything else that is appropriate and necessary for the lethal prosecution and destruction of an already substantially degraded Enemy, will remain in place in, and around, Iran, until such time as the REAL AGREEMENT reached is fully complied with.”

He further threatened that if, for any reason, Iran breaches the deal, which he believes is unlikely, then the US actions would be “bigger, better, and stronger than anyone has ever seen before.” He added, “It was agreed, a long time ago, and despite all of the fake rhetoric to the contrary – NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS and, the Strait of Hormuz WILL BE OPEN & SAFE.” Until then, he revealed that his military unit will be resting and loading up until their next mission.

U.S. and Iran talks were mediated by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during which the U.S. agreed that it would not move forward with the attack it had earlier threatened with a 48-hour deadline. Instead, they decided to pause this military action for two weeks. However, this was agreed upon in exchange for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz during this period. Iran also submitted a 10-point proposal and has halted military attacks until provoked.
