Summer House: Ozarks Spinoff Rumored With West Wilson and New Bravo Cast Members

The Summer House crisis continues. Rumor has it that West Wilson is threatening us with a spinoff. It’s rumored to take place in the Lake of the Ozarks of all places.

This is a terrifying concept for a few reasons, but is there any truth to the rumor? Let’s dive into the details.

Is Bravo looking at another Summer House spinoff series?

If you’re not from Missouri, you probably hear “Ozarks” and think of that Jason Bateman show. In reality, it’s a common hotspot for Missourians to splash around and pretend like they’re on a real beach, all while ignoring the occasionally high E. coli levels found in the water.

According to an unverified DeuxMoi tip, Bravo is now preparing to shoot a Summer House spinoff there with West.

“New Summer House filming in the Ozarks starting in the next month – Wes [sic] will be the ‘bridge,'” the blind item claimed.

First of all, ew. Second, this tipster went on to compare the concept to the dearly departed Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard. They said that “Wes” would hold a similar role on this show as Dolores Catania does on The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.

There are a few things about this claim that make it hard to believe. Obviously, how in the world could West lead a Summer House spinoff when this recently revealed romance with Amanda Batula has turned him into a modern-day Tom Sandoval? He is no one’s Dolores.

It’s also odd to film a show called Summer House in the springtime. It seems a little too early in the season for those murky, lakeside activities that the Ozarks have to offer, right?

However, we do know that the Summer House producers are eyeing new cities for spinoffs. In an interview earlier this year, the showrunners said they hope to replicate the Summer House formula.

They don’t have an interest in shooting a show like Martha’s Vineyard or Winter House, where all of the filming takes place during a two-week trip. Instead, they want the spinoffs to follow the original format — where the cast dips in and out of their vacation house while living their normal lives.

We also know that West has mentioned this concept in the past. Last year, he did an interview for Complex with Jon Hamm, a fellow Missourian, and mentioned that he wanted to see Summer House make a splash in the Ozarks.

So, maybe there’s some truth to this? Did he manifest it? Stay tuned to see if this is real or just another made-up story in DeuxMoi’s feed. Until Bravo confirms, we’ll take it with a grain of salt.

Summer House airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. You can stream it on Peacock.
