When a Real Housewife launches a singing career, it’s camp, and everyone loves it. When one of the bros from Summer House does it? Not so much. Unfortunately, Jesse Solomon is learning that the hard way.
Despite his background in music, the Summer House star just revealed that he’s received a lot of “hate” from fans who aren’t sold on his singing career. However, he’s adamant that he won’t let the haters take away his voice.
The Bravo star has “fun” making music
After making his debut on Summer House, Jesse started using his newfound Bravo fame to release a few singles. His latest song, Guess I’ll Start, dropped last month, and he also announced his first national tour. Tickets are on sale now, but Jesse recently revealed on the Trading Secrets podcast with Jason Tartrick that the response from fans hasn’t been positive.
“I’ve received a lot of hate for singing, and it definitely gives you pause,” Jesse said. “But it brings me so much joy, and it feels like what I’m supposed to be doing.”
To Jesse’s point, music didn’t just come out of nowhere. He did vocal jazz performance in college, so he’s kind of getting back to his roots. With that in mind, he’s ready to ignore the negative feedback and move forward with his passion. He’s taking vocal lessons, piano lessons, and practices every day.
“I’m just trying to drown out the haters and do what I love because I’ve sang my entire life. I’ve never thought I was like the greatest singer of all time, but I think I’m pretty good,” Jesse said.
So, even if it gives you the ick, Jesse has made it clear that he isn’t slowing down with his music aspirations. That means you can save your mean-spirited comments for someone else. Jesse is still going to be somewhere singing.
