It appears that Ryan Lochte couldn’t be happier to be separated from Kayla Rae. The couple, who have three kids together, are working out their divorce, which has become quite personal. The realtor recently went online to share how frustrating it’s been for her dealing with Ryan.
The 12-time Olympic swimming medalist is currently dating Molly Gillihan. In an alleged message, Ryan told Kayla that “Molly is a ten times better mother than you will ever be.” Kayla filed for divorce in March 2025.

Instagram is where they first met, and now Kayla is using that same platform to try to expose Ryan. In her since-deleted Instagram story, captured by Page Six, Kayla posted messages Ryan reportedly sent to her via e-mail. “Look at the offer I just sent to your lawyer and move on with your gold digging life,” the alleged message read. According to Kayla, “This is the tip of the iceberg, and I am exhausted.” She adds that she sympathizes with anyone going through something similar.
Ryan is known to be fast, not only in the pool but in the dating world as well. The six-time Olympic gold medalist previously stated that any girl lucky enough to go on more than a couple of dates with him will get to meet his family. At the time, he was promoting his new dating show in 2013. That program called, What Would Ryan Lochte Do? was cancelled after one season. During the 2016 Summer Olympics, Ryan revealed that he and Kayla were dating. They became engaged in October of that year.
Ryan’s new girlfriend had something to say on the matter. She made some fiery allegations of her own, claiming that Kayla didn’t take proper care of their two-year-old once. “You’re a CHILD And I’m exhausted of YOUR false narrative,” wrote Molly. Last July, Ryan went public about dating Molly. Two months later, he said he went to rehab after Kayla accused him of doing drugs in front of the kids.
