Ever since the couple announced their engagement in August last year, speculations have been rife about their impending summer wedding. The wedding date has reportedly moved from June 13 at the pop star’s lavish Rhode Island mansion to New York City. Now, there is a new update on their forthcoming wedding.

As per Daily Mail, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s parents will not be part of the couple’s wedding planning. Insiders have revealed to the outlet that Kelce and Swift have excluded their parents’ involvement in their wedding planning. Instead, they have taken it upon themselves to plan their big day alongside a wedding planner.
The insider dished, “Both sets of parents are really happy and think getting married is the right thing for them to do because they’re old school and wanted him to put a ring on Taylor’s finger. But none of them are involved in the wedding planning, although, surprisingly, Travis is.”
Unsurprisingly, the bride-to-be is taking the lead when it comes to the wedding planning and runs everything past her fiancé. The source stated, “Taylor’s not the official wedding planner, but most of the ideas are hers. She’s used to taking control. This will be her big day and, along with Travis, she’ll be the mastermind. She literally runs everything past him. If they don’t agree on something, they scrap it.”
Interestingly, the source insisted the couple is very family-oriented. The insider dished, “Taylor and Travis are big on family, so when they have any functions, they want their parents there, and they love it.”
A couple of months back, Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, revealed to TMZ that she didn’t have to sign an NDA ahead of his wedding to Swift. The reporter asked, “Did you have to sign an NDA even though you are the mother?” Donna replied, “Uh, no. They know I can keep a secret.”
As per Page Six , the couple has distributed “save-the-date” cards for their close friends and family. As per the cards, Kelce and Swift will wed in New York City on July 3.
