A famed golfer doesn’t want the public to know about his medical history. Specifically, the lawyers for Tiger Woods are aiming to have his prescription drug records hidden from the public. In a motion filed on April 14, Tiger’s attorney Douglas Duncan said that his client has a “constitutional right to privacy interest” when it comes to those records.
Prosecutors want to have his prescription drug records released. The World Golf Hall of Famer admitted to taking a few pills following his rollover crash in Florida late last month.
The golfer’s legal team are fighting a subpoena attempt

According to the court records obtained by People, his defense believes that those records should be kept secret. If a subpoena is issued, though, Douglas asks that the judge enter a protective order ensuring his prescription drugs are only viewed by “the State, its law enforcement officers, any State experts, and the Defense.”
Tiger was arrested in late March for driving under the influence (DUI) while refusing to take a drug test during questioning. He has taken a lot of heat for this incident, particularly for not hiring a driver. He only just returned to the PGA tour recently after rupturing his Achilles tendon in 2025. Tiger was said to be on various pain medications while going through rehab.
Douglas is requesting a hearing to determine if prosecutors can access his client’s prescription on file at the Lewis Pharmacy in Palm Beach, Florida. The prosecution wants to know the times Tiger’s prescriptions were filled, the number of pills, and the dosage amounts. They’re also hoping to discover if there were any warnings about driving while taking those pills.
In court, Tiger pleaded not guilty to a DUI charge against him. Deputies claim to have found two hydrocodone pills in his pocket when he was stopped. They say there were several signs of impairment from him. That included alleged bloodshot eyes and dilated pupils. Tiger has vowed to get treatment for his issues.
