That matters because the Hulu show has long included Kardashian’s love life into its storylines. This time, though, the setup looked different. The athlete reportedly stayed off camera, even as filming continued around her recent travels and public appearances.

An insider said, “Lewis prefers to keep their relationship low key.” The same source added that the racing icon had “no interest” in becoming a regular on “The Kardashians.” Still, the report said Kim Kardashian would be seen discussing the relationship on season 28, which is currently filming. The filming reportedly included footage tied to her trips, even if Hamilton himself stayed out of frame.
Meanwhile, the source claimed the pair were together for some time before the romance became public. “Kim and Lewis dated for a couple of months before their relationship came to light,” the individual said. That timeline fits with earlier dating talk from February. Then, this week, the reality star and the seven-time world champion were seen kissing and cuddling during a Malibu surfing session. In addition, Hamilton was already stateside ahead of the Miami Grand Prix on May 3.
The same report also suggested fans should not expect alleged couple scenes together. The insider said, “Naturally, Kim will have to allude to their relationship.” However, they added it was “wishful thinking” to expect the pair to film side by side. The outlet also said her Japan travel was filmed, including the Japanese Grand Prix trip, but without the Ferrari driver. If that holds, Hamilton would become the first major relationship of Kardashian not to appear directly on the family’s reality show.
