In September 2025, her dismembered body remains were found in the back of the Tesla, which was registered in D4vd’s name.

Celeste Rivas Hernandez cause of death revealed, reports claim

The cause of Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s tragic death is revealed in a fresh update on the murder case. According to the Medical Examiner’s report released on April 22, Hernandez died from “multiple penetrating injuries caused by object(s).” The manner of death was ruled a homicide (via ABC Eyewitness News).

As per the report, Hernandez’s body weighed a mere 71 pounds when it was found in a dismembered state by the authorities. According to the L.A. County Medical Examiner’s Office, there were two stab wounds on the girl’s body. One stab wound was on her “right abdomen with (an) injury to (her) liver,” and a second stab wound was on her “left chest.”

As per the medical examiners, Hernandez’s body was in an “advanced state of decomposition”  and fragmented into several parts. They added that even “the left ring and pinky fingers appear to have been mutilated.” Additionally, the report mentioned “multiple fragments of blue plastic material… found embedded in the cut surfaces” of her dismembered body.

Barry Fisher explained, “That’s possibly from fragments of a, say, a plastic device, a knife or something.” Notably, Fisher is the former director of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Crime Lab. Moreover, the report also shows presumptive findings for benzodiazepines and methamphetamine/MDMA in Hernandez’s system.

However, the report does not include any evidence connecting to D4vd, who is accused of her murder. Hernandez’s family revealed in their statement, “The Rivas Hernandez family is absolutely devastated by the findings contained in the Medical Examiner’s Report involving the horrible and gruesome death of their beloved daughter. These findings have caused profound emotional pain for the family. They respectfully ask for privacy, understanding, and patience as they process this information.”
